"building a community within to reach a community without."
The
ministry road has been filled with curves, bumps, and a variety of interesting
people but it is an extreme joy to be the pastor of Yreka Christian Fellowship.
YCF had a rocky beginning but because of an intense faith, proper doctrine and the desire to do God's work rather then man's work the church has been blessed beyond measure. When ever I say that I'm reminded of Luke 6:38, Jesus says; "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." He has reminded us everyday of how gracious he is to those who love Him and work for His cause.
So let's see ... what do you want to know about me.... There's not much to tell. I began my professional life in the music biz. With my guitar in hand I played just about all of the Western States with my hub being Summit County in the mountains of Colorado. Music took me to Seattle Washington in 1979 (yeah I'm an old guy) and that's where God saved me. Actually it wasn't Seattle but a bedroom community called Monroe.
Ministry began quickly after that, first with music, then with counseling and finally into the pulpit. I earned my Masters degree from Golden State School of Theology and am beginning the quest for my doctorate. Full time ministry began for me in California then back to Washington, then out to Maryland and finally back to California. God has blessed us with many good friends and we count each one of them a blessing.
